Promoting Culture and Empowerment, HW Group Presents Local Dances in Jakarta, Tangerang, and South Tangerang with HW Cares

Jakarta, 30 July 2023 – Alongside July, HW Group, through its CSR program HW Cares, once again demonstrates its strong determination and commitment to impact and promote community empowerment around its outlets positively.

 

A series of diverse activities have been initiated and successfully carried out in several locations, including HW Dragon Bar QBIG BSD on Saturday (22/7), HW Dragon Bekasi on Sunday (23/7), Helen’s Epicentrum South Jakarta on Saturday (29/7), and Helen’s Gading Serpong on Sunday (30/7).

 

Through this program, HW Cares pays serious attention to preserving local Indonesian arts and culture. Art and cultural performances take center stage in this event, showcasing three different types of traditional dances from each city.

 

For instance, at HW Dragon Bar QBIG BSD, dances like Bentang Banten, Bajidor Kahot, and Jaipong, depicting the beauty and cultural diversity of Banten, were presented to the HW Cares participants.

 

Similarly, at QBIG, HW Cares at HW Dragon Bar Bekasi also featured the Ronggeng Menor dance, Mask Dance, and Betawi Pencak Silat (martial arts).

 

Meanwhile, at Helen’s Epicentrum South Jakarta, the showcased dances included Palang Pintu Betawi and Gajak Gijik and a Pencak Silat performance featuring the Ondel-ondel dance.

 

And at Helen’s Gading Serpong, an Art and Culture showcase was also held, featuring three types of dances and one traditional Banten Pencak Silat performance. The dances presented included Tarian Bentang Banten, Tarian Zapin, and Banten Pencak Silat, complete with the unique Banten Silat dance.

 

“In our commitment, HW Cares is not only a conduit for compassion but also a place to preserve Indonesian arts and culture,” explains Kharis, an HW Cares CSR team representative. “Just like at QBIG, where dances like Bentang Banten, Bajidor Kahot, and Jaipong are showcased, HW Cares teaches that cultural beauty is a treasure that must be preserved to endure,” he continues.

 

In addition to the artistic and cultural aspects, HW Cares also embraces the surrounding community’s real needs by providing various necessities such as trash bins, religious musical instruments, laptops, and printers for the neighborhood association’s secretariat.

Collaborating with Atlas Beach Fest, H Club SCBD Presents Local Balinese Culture Through Kecak Dance

Jakarta, July 30th 2023 – H Club SCBD is proud to announce the “Atlas Take Over” special event on July 30, 2023. In collaboration with Atlas Beach Fest, this event successfully brought a rich local cultural touch through the presented concept.

Through “Atlas Take Over,” H Club SCBD managed to integrate the Bali beach atmosphere into the everyday life of Jakarta. Upon entering the club, visitors were greeted with decorations that created a tropical ambiance with beach balls and iconic coconut trees.

In addition to the beach-themed decor, one of the main highlights of the Atlas Take Over event was an extraordinary lineup of entertainment, including the Kecak Dance, fire dance performances, and LED percussion attractions.

The Kecak Dance, one of Bali’s cultural treasures, captivated and entertained visitors from various backgrounds, including expatriates living in Jakarta.

The dancers showcased distinctive hand movements accompanied by the iconic “cak-cak-cak” sounds. This created an atmosphere in the largest club in Asia reminiscent of the Island of Gods, Bali, with an authentic Indonesian cultural vibe.

HW Group spreading joy this Eid al-Adha with 42 cattle donations through HW Peduli

Jakarta, June 29, 2023  – HW Group, through its social program HW Peduli, demonstrates its care by providing sacrificial animal donations to celebrate Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri.

A total of 42 cattle have been prepared for distribution to communities in several areas, including Bogor, South Jakarta, West Jakarta, Kerawang, East Jakarta, South Tangerang, Bekasi, Depok, Banten, Sumedang, Ciamis, Ciater, Central Jakarta, Bandung, Lampung, Sleman, and Semarang.

Several recipients of the sacrificial animals expressed gratitude for the donations from HW Peduli.

“Yes, alhamdulillah. From HW Peduli, thank you for assisting with one sacrificial animal in Senayan Sub-district. We will distribute it to 46 PPSU, 11 PKK, 15 Dawis, 15 Jumantik, 7 FKDM, 3 LMK, and civil servants,” said Mr. Muhammad, Secretary of Senayan Sub-district.

“On behalf of the neighborhood association (RW) management and personally, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to HW Peduli for donating one sacrificial animal to our area in Pondok Pinang. What has been given will benefit our residents. Thank you,” said Muhammad Rasyid, RW 01 Administrator in Pondok Pinang.

“We would like to thank HW Peduli for distributing sacrificial animals for Eid al-Adha. This is our first time organizing it, and we want to distribute animal donations to all our friends. Thank you very much; the donation from HW Peduli is fantastic. We received one cow and six goats. Thank you very much; we will distribute them to the surrounding residents, and we pray that this brings blessings and rewards for all of you,” explained Dina Rosalina, S.STP., Head of Menteng Dalam Sub-district.

Yogyakarta and Semarang, June 18, 2023 – HW Group, through its social program HW Peduli, has shown its concern for the community by organizing social activities in Yogyakarta and Semarang.

 

The event took place in Yogyakarta at HW Dragon Yogyakarta on Sunday (6/18). Various activities were held for different age groups, demonstrating HW Peduli’s dedication to positively impacting the community across generations.

 

The event began with an energetic, healthy exercise session involving participants from teenagers to adults. This session provided an opportunity for everyone to engage in physical activities.

 

HW Peduli also organized a reflexology massage session, where the elderly were given relaxation massages and therapy on their feet. This aimed to help them rejuvenate and increase positive energy.
