Bali, 22 February, 2023 – HWG Group and Avani purifying beach at Berawa beach. This occasion is one of the most extensive cleaning activities in Bali. HWG Group and Avani collaborate to overcome the rubbish problem to respond to the mayor of Bali, Wayan Koster.
“Garbage is one of the number one problems in Bali. As a tourist place, garbage can be frightening, and if this problem is not overcome well, it can impact the tourist, and that’s why it needs to be supported by people,” said Wayan Koster.
Along with this beach cleaning program, Avani also gives education to every volunteer about plastic garbage. Avani is a corporation that operates for selling eco-friendly packaging products and teaches about the concept of reduce, reuse, and recycle.
This occasion is conducted to enhance society’s awareness about plastic usage and their awareness of nurturing the beach’s cleanliness in Bali.
Besides educating about plastic garbage, Avani, HWG Group, and the Canggu community provide pet waste stations at Berawa beach. Pet waste stations are the station for animals’ dirt using plastic.
The plastics are made from cassava, and it can be composed and consumed by the underground microorganism
“We are so pleased to collaborate with HWG Group for providing Pet waste stations at Berawa beach, Bali. This is a good start to reducing disposable plastic bags by using Cassava poop bags from Avani that can be used anytime instead. We hope this collaboration can be implemented with many businessmen in Bali,” said the representative of Avani.
The pet waste was encouraged and supported by the Canggu community. “The sanitation of the beach is necessary for our community. We are delighted that the pet waste station project can help to reach the goal,” said the representative of the Canggu community.
